Met some of the group this morning as Cheris' house.  We ran from her house to the park and then ran the Riverton 10k route.  Then we ran down 1300 w. and back through the neighborhoods.  I ran with Cheris, Jody, and Cheryl.  It was a great recovery run.  My legs are still a little tired from the 20 miler yesterday but not sore.   Average pace 9:02.

Met the BBK's at Parkway Palisades.  We ran a 2.5 mile warm up.   Then I ran 4.6 more miles including lots of hills.  My legs were heavy and tired so I didn't push it.  Average pace 8:38.    I can't decide if I should even run tomorrow or just take it off.

I almost didn't run today, but I'm glad I did.  I ran 7 miles on the treadmill.  Mostly at 9:13 pace.  My legs were still tired but not as bad.

I met Angela, Peggy, Cheris and Michelle M. at 5:00 am so we could get in 3 extra miles before the big 3 x 5k workout.  My legs were still heavy.  Maybe everyone feels like this and I'm just a complainer.  The first 3 miles we tried to take a little easier so Michelle N. could warm up a little.  

3.1 miles in 25:05 (average pace 8:00) Sorry Michelle, not much of a warm up.

3.0 miles in 23:16 (average pace 7:43)

3.0 miles in 22:58 (average pace 7:36)

I had to run straight to my car to get home for my kids.  So no cool down.  I felt like it was a great work out.

8 very boring treadmill miles.  My legs felt pretty good.  I ran very slow.  I'm looking forward to our running group's little 1/2 marathon tomorrow.   Cheryl is great and has mapped out a course for us.

What a fun run today.  Cheryl put together a little half marathon for our group.  We had a great turn out of about 18 people.  Michelle's husband Jared was our water boy.  It was so nice to not have to carry our water.  And I think it gave us something to look forward to.  I warmed up for about 3 miles before we started.  Then cooled down for .5 miles before rushing off to my son's football game.

The first 4 to 5 miles were mostly uphill.  My miles splits were 8:28, 8:38, 9:03, 8:34, 7:59, 7:25, 7:38, 8:16, 7:09, 7:39, 7:24, 7:57, and 7:32.  Overall time 1:44. (pace 7:59)

I ran mostly with Angela and Michelle.  I felt pretty good the whole time.  I think I may be sore tomorrow.

I ran 8 miles on the treadmill this morning.  I would much rather run outside, but I get nervous running alone now that it is so dark.  I actually really enjoyed my run today.  I watched 13 going on 30.  I felt good and the time went by fast.  Average pace 9:20 with a 1% incline.   My right quad is still  a little sore.  At work today, I felt like I might be getting a sore throat.  I better take my vitamins and get lots of rest.

Met the BBK group at Bingham.  We ran a 2.5 mile warm up.  Then about 1/2 of us went to the nice soft brand new Bingham track.  Peggy had us run 4x600's, then 1x1200, then 2x600's all with a 400 recovery.  Then I had to leave.  I love the track.  I should do that more often.  I didn't really pay attention to my speed, but I felt like I pushed it pretty hard.  I knew I was running the recovery parts too fast when I started chatching up to Peggy on them.  Of course on the speed part, I was way behind her.   I came home and got 2 kids off to school. Then I ran 1.5 more miles on the treadmill.

I took Paul's advice and did a downhill run on the treadmill at the gym.  I warmed up for 1 mile with no incline.  Then I ran 6 miles with a 3% decline at about a 7:45 ave pace.  Then I ran 4 more flat miles at a 9:00 min pace.  This was a great workout.  The time went by really fast.  My average heart rate was 153.

I ran 8 miles on the trail with Angela this morning.  It was pitch black down there.  I'm glad I had my little head light on.  When I was putting my light over my head, the elastic snapped and smacked me in the nose.  I have a nice little cut right accross my nose now.   It was a good run.  I didn't check my pace until  we finished.  Average pace 8:24.  My hips are very sore from the downhill run yesterday.

I met Angela and Michelle at 5:00 at Albertsons in Draper.  We ran on Wasatch Blvd, then one mile up Big Cottonwood Canyon and back.  The first few miles (including the huge mile long hill) were harder today than usual.  I've been feeling like I might get sick this past week.  So I didn't feel 100%.  I'm glad Michelle had her light.  It was so dark.  All in all it was a great run.  I only had to make one bathroom stop at mile 9 and other than that my stomach felt great.  Average pace 8:38.  The last four miles were 8:11, 7:21, 7:45, and 7:56.  I had to get to my son's football game, so I didn't get an ice bath.

Met the BBK's for our 4x5k workout at the SJ park.  The plan was to not push it too hard and run mostly at marathon pace.  The first one was 8:25 avg.  The second 8:20 avg. The third 8:08 avg. The fourth 8:05 avg.  My legs were so tired and heavy today.  The pace felt fine, but I don't feel like I could have run much faster if I had wanted.  I haven't slept well in a few weeks and it is catching up to me.

I met Angela and Michelle at the Albertsons in Draper at 5:00 am.  We ran out 7.5 on Wasatch Blvd. and back.  We ran a little slower today.  The pace felt good.  We never got our heart rates too high.  My feet are sore.  I really should have gotten new shoes before this run.  For some reason, the toe box in the pink Asics 2130's are tighter than the blue ones.  It was a good run.  Hopefully this will be the last time I get up at 4:00 am until the marathon.  Average pace 8:49.

I ran 5 easy miles this morning.  I ran into Cheris a mile into my run.  It was great to run the the last 4 miles with her.  It was very windy going North, but at least we missed the rain.  Average pace 8:53.

Met the group at Bingham.  First we warmed up by running around the neighborhoods.  Then we did a track work out.  We did a 1200, 800, and 400, with a 400 recovery in between.  Then we went off track and did a 2 mile tempo run.  Then I ran back to my car.  Average pace for 8 miles including warm up and recovery 8:12.

I ran 5 easy miles with Cheris.  Average pace 9:00.  My legs were a little tired from the speedwork yesterday, but not too bad.  I've gone 3 days without candy or treats.  I'm going to be so good until the marathon.  I'm trying to decide what I want my "after marathon" treat to be.  Last year it was chocolate covered cinnamon bears.  Yummy.

Met some of the group at Bingham at 5:30.  We warmed up for 2.6 miles.  Then the rest of the group came at 6:00.  We warmed up for 1 more mile.  Then we ran 2x 15 minute tempo runs with 5 minutes of easy running in between.  I felt pretty good.  I ran the tempo parts faster than marathon pace.  Average pace for the last 5.65 miles was 8:23.

I had a great run today with Cheris and Jody.  We ran a 10 mile loop from Cheris' house.  We ran at a comfortable pace for the first 6 miles.  Then we ran 3 miles at marathon pace and and cooled down for the last mile.  My stomach was bothering me a little bit.  I felt better today than I have in a long time.  This will be my longest run until the marathon.

Met the group at Bingham.  We ran over to Rustic Roads and did 3 one mile repeats then ran back to Bingham.  The second mile repeat was 8:00.  The others were slower.  My hamstrings have been really tight.  I noticed them on the uphill, but they didn't bother me at all on the down.
