WOW!!! I loved this race.  I don't think any other marathon will ever come close to this.

I got on the bus with Michelle N., Cheris, Jody and Michelle N. to take us to the start.  By the time we got there, found Dean and Kris, and waited for in line for POPs it was time to walk the mile to our corrals.  We planned on starting in corral 16, but only made it to corral 22 before the gun went off.  It was fine because we got to start with Kris.  It was so much fun running in a group.  We all wore turqoise shirts (except Jody who wore black), so it was easy to stay together.   I made name tags for us.  I loved having the crowd cheer me on.  The course was not as bad as I thought it would be.  Thanks Cheryl and Peggy for all those hill workouts.  My mile splits from my Garmin were:

1> 9:33

2> 8:57

3> 8:40

4> 8:24

5> 8:34 (gu)

6> 8:28

Way to go! I hope you loved it. Did you and Michelle run together and then you ditched her right at the end?

Julie, you did great! I hate how some of us lose so much time waiting for a porta potty, but you rolled with it anyway! Awesome splits. And your fastest mile was at 22?? WOW.
